Marla K. Wilson, DPM
The greatest aspect of working in the profession of podiatry is the knowledge that I am helping people in their daily lives. The most rewarding facet of treatment is that a patient walks out of my office better than how they walked in. This positive result is the ultimate goal for every treatment and consultation I render. With this objective in mind, I have been practicing General Podiatry at Advanced Foot & Ankle Care in Illinois for over ten years. Each day that I come into my offices, I arrive thankful, blessed, and ready to serve my community.
My career started with working full time as a medical technician at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. At the same time, I attended John Wood Community College and then Quincy University. The next step in my journey was to graduate from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago where I received my Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. Immediately after, I interned at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago, eventually completing a one-year residency in Primary Podiatric Medicine followed by two years of Podiatric Surgical residency training. I then ended my last year as Chief Resident. From there, I pursued creating my own offices and began Advanced Foot & Ankle Care in 2002.
